Description
EPOXY SELF LEVELLING COATING SYSTEM
Epoxy coatings are used as an easy-to-clean and dust-free indoor floor covering in pharmaceutical factories, sterile areas of hospitals, power plants and all kinds of industrial facilities. It is easy to clean and has high mechanical strength. It is resistant to the effects of chemical substances. This type of epoxy coating is mostly used as indoor floor covering in places such as textile, food, pharmaceutical, factories, hospitals, schools, and production facilities.
Epoxy Self Leveling floor covering material is a jointless floor covering type that makes worn, pitted, damaged concrete floor surfaces shiny, dense and smooth. With this chemical coating, floors can be created quickly and durably.
Surface Preparation of the Floor: All cement grout and loose materials on the concrete surface will be cleaned and mechanical scraping (milling and leveling) will be done with Blastrak or Grinder machines to ensure the adhesion of the concrete and epoxy. The defects on the concrete surface will be repaired with epoxy-based repair mortar. If there is oil absorbed on the surface, it should be cleaned by burning or the areas where the oil has penetrated too deeply should be broken and repaired.
Coating Application: The materials will be mixed with a 400 rpm mixer to prevent air mixing into the material.
Primer (Epoxy Primer): Epoxy Primer is a two-component material and all of the hardener will be added to the resin and mixed until it reaches a uniform (Uniform, homogeneous, evenly distributed) consistency. Silica sand will be mixed into the primer and the application process will be carried out with a zero trowel. Silica sand should be sprinkled on the mixture after application to increase adherence. In order to obtain the necessary smoothness on surfaces with irregular surfaces, a second layer of Primer + Silica sand will be applied.
Intermediate Layer: It is a two-component material and all of the hardener will be added to the resin and mixed until it reaches a uniform (Uniform, homogeneous, evenly distributed) consistency. The spreading process will be carried out with a zero trowel. In order to perform the spreading process, the primer layer must be waited for to dry, and after the drying is completed, the ground must be cleaned of excess silica sand particles.
Final Coat (Self Leveling): Each package consists of two components. The hardener will be added to the resin and mixed until it becomes uniform (uniform, homogeneous, evenly distributed). The mixture obtained will be applied with a toothed trowel in 3 mm thickness after the intermediate coat has hardened. The air will be removed with a spike roller and gas discharge will be facilitated. The floor will be ready to walk on 10-12 hours after the coating is applied.
Wall Return Application: In the walls whose plaster has been applied and sanded before the application, the skirting place will be primed first, and the return paste will be applied to all the wall bottoms on the primer and it will be made oval. The oval will be painted in the same color as the selected final coat epoxy system.
