Description
EPOXY MULTI LAYER FLOORING SYSTEM
It is a solid and durable floor material that can be used in areas with heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic such as factories, shopping malls, warehouses, stations, parking lots. It does not collect dust and can be easily cleaned. It is resistant to chemical effects. It is resistant to friction and mechanical effects.
Surface Preparation of the Floor: All cement grout and loose materials on the concrete surface will be cleaned and mechanical scraping (milling and leveling) will be done with Blastrak or Grinder machines to ensure the adhesion of the concrete and epoxy. The defects on the concrete surface will be repaired with epoxy-based repair mortar. If there is oil absorbed on the surface, it should be burned and cleaned or areas where the oil has penetrated too deeply should be broken and repaired.
Coating Application: The materials will be mixed with a 400 rpm mixer to prevent air mixing into the material.
Primer (Epoxy Primer): Epoxy Primer is a two-component material and all of the hardener will be added to the resin and mixed until it reaches a uniform (uniform, homogeneous, evenly distributed) consistency. Silica sand will be mixed into the primer and the application process will be carried out with a zero trowel. Silica sand should be sprinkled on the mixture after application to increase adherence. In order to obtain the necessary smoothness on irregular surfaces, a second layer of Primer + Silica sand should be applied.
Intermediate Coat: It is a two-component material and all of the hardener will be added to the resin and mixed until it reaches a uniform (uniform, homogeneous, evenly distributed) consistency. The spreading process will be carried out with a zero trowel. In order to be able to spread, the primer layer should be waited for to dry and the surface should be cleaned of excess silica sand particles after drying.
Final Coat (Epoxy Multilayer): Each package consists of two components. Hardener will be added to the resin and mixed until it reaches a uniform (uniform, homogeneous, evenly distributed) state. The mixture obtained will be applied with a toothed trowel after the intermediate layer has hardened and the surface will be shaped with a coral roller. If desired, patterned, rough and semi-matte surfaces can be created. The floor covering is ready to be walked on approximately one day after it is applied. It should not be exposed to heavy loads after waiting 7 days for full mechanical and chemical resistance.
Advantages
- It can be applied without joints and seams,
- It does not hold dust, it is easy to clean,
- It is hygienic,
- It is resistant to abrasion and impacts,
- It is resistant to chemical effects,
- It can be 2 mm – 3 mm thick,
